Depression & Mood Support

When the world seems greyer than it used to

Depression is defined by pervasive low mood and loss of pleasure in the things you used to enjoy, or anything at all. It can affect energy, motivation, sleep, appetite, and even how you think about yourself. You may feel detached or like a heavy fog has descended that never seems to clear all the way. These experiences are not signs of weakness, they’re signals of pain that deserve care.

Our Approach

Therapy offers a space to unpack what’s beneath the heaviness. Our counsellors help you understand patterns of thought and emotion, rebuild self-compassion, and create small, sustainable shifts that support recovery.

Our counsellors will tailor sessions to your needs and goals. When working with depression we will often draw from  models like Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Emotion-Focused Therapy (EFT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) and strengths-based approaches. Together, we’ll work to restore meaning, resilience, and self-trust.

What to Expect

Early sessions focus on understanding your story and identifying supports that can help you feel more grounded and connected. Over time, we’ll focus on regaining energy and motivation, addressing unhelpful thought patterns, and reconnecting you with the things that give life purpose.

Taking the Next Step

Depression can make it hard to reach out, but support can help you feel like yourself again.

In your first session, we’ll explore what’s been hardest for you and clarify what you’d like to change. Over time, you’ll build self-awareness and confidence using strategies that extend beyond the therapy room.
